GROWING THE GAME SINCE 2016
By Any Means Basketball is a basketball training and media organization founded by Coleman Ayers, aiming to bring top tier, innovative training to every hooper in the global basketball community.
Using every means from in-person development and mentoring, to online content, programs, and consultation, we believe that every hooper in the world can elevate their game with our unique perspectives, training styles, and passion to change the world through hoops.
Location: Currently we offer training in Oakville, Ontario.
Schedule: Our trainings run on weekday evenings, and Saturday mornings.
we operate on a membership basis, because we only work with players that are dedicated to getting better. our pricing depends on commitment levels, so the more consistent you are, and the longer you train for, the cheaper it is! For details please fill out the form and our lead trainer will reach out.
our gym is close to Q.E.W and Trafalgar. for more details please fill in the form and our lead trainer will reach out.
Our younger group is for elementary school (ages 9 and up) and our older group is for high school and beyond.
our trainings are small groups of 2-10 athletes depending on the day. we have 2-3 trainers at every training, so that every athlete is paid adequate attention to.
we train every evening except for fridays and sundays. saturdays are around lunchtime.
each training can last 1-2 hours depending on how long the athlete wants to train. each class is 1 hour, but athletes can stay longer to get extra work in.
"I became a trainer after playing university basketball with a mission to find the most optimal way to train. Having done training in over 12 countries around the world, I realized the player development system here in the GTA is lacking behind some European systems. There are new training methods backed by recent scientific studies, and my goal is to bring it to the GTA."
We realize how global of a game basketball is, and the potential it has to change lives all around the world. We're on a journey to not only assist with this internationally, but to showcase basketball cultures around the map, even the ones you'd never think about!
Here's how we've been working to grow the game:
International camps and coaches' Education clinics (27 cities and counting!)
Showcasing hoopers and basketball cultures around the world through our @GrowTheGame Instagram account.
Our partnership with the Athlete Empowerment Initiative, a nonprofit aimed at building underserved basketball communities outside of the US.
In our trainings we spend time developing players' IQ of the game, not just the flashy moves you see on T.V.
Our process is backed by the latest scientific evidence, and all of our trainers are educated accordingly.
We recognize that every player comes from a different background, and embrace diversity to learn about other cultures.
You won't see players dribbling around cones in our trainings (they can do that at home). Instead, we focus on putting players in situations they'll see in a game, to make them creative problem solvers.
After our travels to Europe we were absolutely blown away. Here in the GTA we are used to keeping everything male and female separate, which is great to give each their space, but in Europe you will find more youth co-ed basketball trainings and games, which we thought was amazing. So we started implementing it. Our trainings are now co-ed, and we plan to offer female-only sessions in the future. If you are a female and would like to train with us, we have a special early bird discount of $99 for the first month for unlimited trainings. Come out to a free trial to check it out!
